i have a 305 with a 700r4 tranny and i have a bunch of people telling me that i will have major clearance issues with my 4 1/2 inch bodydrop. i told them that if anything it would be crossmember but im positive ill clear it. i will be cutting out the firewall and smoothing it with tubs for my 20s so i figured i would make room for the distributor that way. if anyone can send info my way and pics that would help alot. thanks

what are you asking? if a 305 will fit in a bd'd s10? ya.. exhaust problems? probably.. lotta people use "sanderson" headers or whatever they're called.. they hug the block so you have room for your steering column..

and yeah, your distributor is probably gonna be close to your firewall, but notchin it out isnt really a problem.

im sure youve heard it before, but id do a 350 if i were you..

My buddy did a 350 swap in his 88 monte carlo ss and gave me the 305 so id like to go that route. I have already thought of the exaust issue and thats the least of my worries. I knew everyone would say check s-10forums.com but i figured enough people on here would know. Id like to see pics of peoples on here with a swap and bodydrop. another thing, i dont think my 20s will be an issue up front but let me know your thoughts on it. And yes ill check out those sites

I am just finishing up a blazer with a 4"bd and it also has a 350/700 swap. We also are running tubulars with a 7" booster running 22's dont know what the problem is. If you need the complete kit. I offer one that sells containing the headers, motor mounts, and a griffen radiator for 565.00 plus shipping.
