New Camera (Photographers Help)

OK, I need a new camera and I want to get the best bag for my buck. I wish I had the money to buy a super nice camera but I really don't have it right now. But I am wondering what you all would recommend as a nice standard camera.

I am looking for some help from Garrick, Olliver, and other photographers on here. Trust me I plan to spend a few hundred dollars so I want to get something that will serve it's purpose nicely.

Let me know what models you guys have had good luck with.

I'm in the same situation with a still digital camera. I'm looking at spending around $400. I just bought an $800 video camera and am not too happy with the quality so I will be buying another sooner than expected, but for nw I need a new still digital camera. My one I use for prints does not get used very often at all and will be next in line hopefully.

read up on it.it has good Zoom feature...best in many opinions.also it has great action shot features. super fast shutter speeds.

thats my next venture...but i just got my panasonic about 2 months ago. i'll wait another year or so.

Nikon cool pix 2200 work well, but I like the Nikon d70 myself

Yeah man,I just picked up the canon rebel xt,it kicks ass,and it was only like 1500 with a ton of goodies.I used to have the sony dsc,thats a good camera as well,but i really like the canon.

My g/f's mom has absolutely been raving about the Kodak DX7590.

I would love to buy that Nikon D90 or Canon EOS. I guess I should just wait and keep looking. But I need more suggestions on cameras!!!!

i'm just pissed that the Digital Rebel XT came out less then a year after i got the regular rebel and now the one i have is like $799. the xt is $999 and is an 8MP camera
