hey guys i have a 1986 crown vic. it has the 5.0 fuel injected motor in it. was sputtering and what not. put a new fuel filter and pump in it. now it wont run but a touch of carb cleaner and it does. hmmm... i need help bad.
all right guys here is an update. i have put in a fuel pump and filter. plugs wires cap rotor and maf sensor. it runs better now when it doesnt miss. i have noticed it only misses in the hot times of the day. the morning and at night it runs like a scallded dog. i checked my fuel line and it is not to close to exhaust.... i need help though!
does it have an egr plate under the throttle body? i had a t-bird that acted like that and it was the egr valve
it doesnt have a throttle body it is a plenum setup like a mustang.
well it wasnt the egr valve. bot is this thing getting exspensive. please any more ideas.
I am going to knock this around to some of our "Mustang Peeps" around here. We have a large selection of folkes around here who know about the 5.0 backwards and forwards. It might be till Tuesday till I can get back with you but I got to run by one of the shops first of this coming week to talk to one of them about my 5.0 anyway.
thanks guys. no it is not the inertia switch i got it runnning but when it is hot outside now it misses and spits and sputurs (sp). thank you all ahead of time also travis.
