4-Runner / Tacoma Rack & Pinion Availability?

Hey guys just curious to see if anyone knows when Toyota started offering Rack & Pinion Steering in their trucks. I have one out of a Ranger but the Toyota track width is a lot shorter so I guess I'll just keep it for my Ranger.
