i have pics on my camera but my wife has my camera.
on the right side rear of the frame, a little before the rear end is a...brake valve with with a rod going to the opposite side of the frame. what is it and do i need it?
theres a pic of it from cudrulns truck
it is a weight bias proportioning valve. It adjusts the rear brake pressure to the load you have in the bed. You can remove it but you should completly remove it and not just the rod.
as in pull the valve, both brake lines, rod, and cap the brake lines?
yep. well tee the lines so brake fluid still flows to the rear brakes. On mine I just ran 1 brake line to the rear
so just run one brake like to the T thats already on the rear end? or do i have to change that T to a different T?
ok lets start at the top. how many brake lines are running from the master cylinder to the rear?
use another tee like the one on the axle. some advocate the use of a proportioning valve, but if you're using the stock drum setup in the back, the tee will be sufficient.
thank you.. I was at a loss without pics..
