4 link question

ok my buddys intallin my triangulated 4 link from SD on my truck and he wants to use the upper bars with the smaller ends for the lower straight bars and the longer bars with the bigger ends for the triangulated uppers, it sounds kinda half assed to me but im j/w if itll b ok
