Vehicle Description

For High Resolution Pictures goto: http://www.cliftonparkhelp.com/neyota

This vehical is a 2001 Dodge neon that out of necessity was transformed into a 4 wheel drive, half neon half toyota pickup Neyota. In the in December 2003 the motor of the Neon had blown up, I needed a vehical to get to work with and I did not have the $2100 for a new engine. I found a 1991 toyota pickup truck for much much less and with the help of my father we mated the body of the 2001 neon with the drive train and frame of 91 toyota.

Information about the 1991 Toyota Pickup:

Vin # - JT4RN01P7M7045437

Engine - 2.4L 22R

Drivetrain - 4 Wheel Drive

Title - Yes

Whats New on the Neyota: 4 new tires, Front Brakes and rotors, Belts, Plug wires, Plugs, Transmission Filter, Transmission Fluid. Oil changed every 3000 miles.

Whats needed: Shocks, Bushings for anti-sway bar.

Operation: There are a few of things about the Neyota that need to be finished. First to start the neyota there currently are two keys, One controls all the functions of the neon (lights, accessories, and most import the fuel pump) the other controls all the functions of the Toyota (ECU, Starter, and all other drive train components). The keys can be combined into one I just have not had time to do it. Only the gas gauge on the instrament panel works, this opperarted off of the Neon ECU which is no longer in the car. To watch my speed I have been using a GPS system which I will sell at a fixed price. All lights with the exception of the reverse lights work as normal. Once again I just have not had time to finish this. For now they are turned on and off by a switch next to the steering wheel (Done to pass inspection). I have also added an auxillary fan for additional cooling, this was nessasary for off-roading, the fan on the toyota isn't sufficient enough when crawling up hills.

Benefits: The fact that it is 4 wheel drive and has atleast a foot of ground clearence allows the Neyota to go just about anywhere. It is excellent at going in the snow and mudd (my favorite). The amount of attention that you will recieve in this is tremendous. I regularly get camera flashes, turned heads, and "What the hell" as I am cruising up and down the road. I am always asked the story of the Neyota when I am stopped at the gas station or the store. Its especially fun to goto a ricer convention and pull up to another neon that has been lowered.
