98 EXPEDITION BAGS?

GOT A 98 SITTING in the driveway doing nothing. i also have an extra set of bags. problem is, the expo is a 4x4. now when i bagged my 4x4 blazer we just took the front frame section and the rear frame section from a 2wd s-10 and swapped them out, ( it was a zr2 with a wide stance), will i have to do that on my expo?? i am going to rip out the 4x4 but was wondering if the stance (width) of the 4x4 axles is the same as the 2wd, and if i could just rip out the 4x4 crap and throw bags on it. any help would be nice, im bored and want to bag something else. thanx much!!
