For the Chevy, if you ran a 255/35R22, the obvious 15" substitute would be a 255/70R15. I should add, though, that the nominal rim width would be more in the neighborhood of 8.5" and not the specified 8. As for the math problem, I always divide the section width by 25.4 and divide the result by 100, then multiply the next result by the aspect ratio and simply add the rim diameter to get the overall height.
