bad idea? good Idea??

I asked everyone where i should relocate the emmision computer which is on top of the radiator resovoir in my 95 s10..evryone told me to put it up against the raditor to get it out of the way but i went through the trouble of cuting and extending all 150 wires so i could move it to under the drivers seat it cleans the engine compartment up well and the computer still works...but was that a bad idea???
