ride softness

if you run a larger bag in place of a small one, space allowing, would it ride softer because less psi would be required in the bigger bag to have it at the same ride height? anybody get what I'm sayin? im only asking because my dad can get me some monster goodyear bags from where he works and I figured those paired with some good shocks on a leverage style 4 link would keep my light rear end nice and soft. any opinions?
