rear end narrowing?

hey everyone, i have a bagged 1997 geo tracker 4dr, and the rear doesnt quite tuck. looking from the rear of the truck the rear is wider than the front. i want to narrow the rear end 2" per side. i have a guy that can narrow the housing for me. any ideas on the axle. thanks
