Stock Floor Bodydrop ?'s

I always thought the concept was building an entire new frame, but ive heard of people doing it different ways, could someone fill me in on all the possibilities, especially for a 1993 toyota pickup?

i heard that zing the front frame and redoing the tranny crossmember makes it a 1.5" stock floor, and that cutting off a little bit of the bottom of the frame and plating it would be even more, could someone let me know what all works and how its done? thanks
