BODY DROP WITH A STOCK HEATER?

I have a 97 s-10 and i recently body dropped it 2 1/2 inches. i am wondering if anyone has got the heater to fit back in somehow. I got it to fit half way back in by chopping it down 2 1/2 inches and plastic welding it back together but now the heating core is to big to fit. can anyone help?
