2000 f-150 drive line problem

whats up guys, i have a problem. i killed my drive line dragging, i need to buy a new one but everyone i talk to says they wouldnt make a steel drive line. the drive line i have is 5" round and 83 3/4" long. they say it will kill the tranny.
if you have replaced the drive line or know anything about why this is it would help alot. i have a friend who has a steel one but i had 3-steel drive lines in my truck and they all vibrated.
what should i do?
