Autometer Guages

I would have put this in Interior but i have a feeling it wouldn't get as much attention. I am getting ready to buy several Guages, speedo, tach, water, oil,fuel ect... Anyone have any experience with the electrical verses mechanical guages??? I'd was going to run a mix of both but the local seller said to go all electrical. Any hint tips advise would be greatly appreciated.
