DMV question...

I bought a wrecked mustang back in early march, i fixed everything that was wrong with it and now it's ready to be registered. i just made an appointment to have it inspected. what's the rest of the process, has anyone ever done this before? i saved a lot of money (about 7 grand) buying it wrecked and fixing it. Is there anyway I can register it before the inspection so i can legally drive it there or? also, it's insurred, full coverage as of yesterday.
