New Mustang grills

I bought a Billet grill for my Mustang. We tried putting it in last night and we saw that there were 3 screws on the stock grill facing down towards the ground. Do you have to take the front bumper off to put a new grill in or are we just stupid and there's something we're missing? Thanks
