Help with hooking up a tach on a 02 Lancer

Im trying to hook up a remote starter for a customer and the dam alarm wont read the coil or injector signal like a viper would. Ive thought about hooking it up to something like a MSD tach driver and even tried to take the cluster out and tested all the wires that I thought it might be with no good results.
