Need help burning a dvd...

I would like someone to IM me at Kimbab77 on AOL sometime with some advice about burning a movie with my dvd burner...I downloaded a dvd from KAZAA and it says the format is wrong. And that I can need (more software), which I can download I'm sure. But its not telling me what I need to download. Can you guys help me???Thanks...
