Should Street Racin be made legal?

Ok he we go im wrighting a paper on street racing and would love to get some comments on street racing. Should it be allowled would it be safer if the cops put the events on do you know anybody hurt or killed in street racing. Kinds of sutf like that go nuts. Thanks
