NEED HELP TONIGHT PLEASE!

I know a lot of you guys will say "just search the threads and find it" Well I did and I didn't find anything on it. I used the search button and typed in sanding dash and nothing. So could someone help me out on the correct way to sand the dash in a s10. Do i have to take the vynel off? Thanks
