ok, i got a pertronix HEI distributor in my car, and i go to crank it up, and it wont crank. after some electrical testing, we determine the coil is bad (no fire gettin to the plugs, or to the cap, but the coil is firing, module is good, plugs and wires are good, cap is good) then we put on my old coil, that is known to be good...still no fire to the wires or plugs. so then we root thru the junk pile and find a cap/coil that came off a 454 dually some 15 years ago, and it fires right up. ordered a new pertronix coil, and put it in...still nothing. WTF is goin on here?! why the fuck does it only run w/ the old ass coil off the truck? sorry for the novel, but i am fukin stumped.
