Hey everybody, i just recently bought an 88 mighty max and i have little knowledge of trucks. I have been doin a little research but i wanna make sure.
I just want to lower it a bit and i dont have any money to spend right now. Would it be ok if i cut 1 coil and remove the middle leaf just to have a drop? Just temporary. If anyone could help in the simplest way possible lol. Thanks.

You can do it that way but it will be a rough ride.

Cut the bump stops down and use good shocks and the ride will be nice. I've lowered this way and every other way you can static drop these trucks and they all have the same ride if you have the same clearance/travel and decent shocks.

I just ordered 2 " drop springs and 3" leafs for the rear. What shocks can i use for a little easier ride. Front and back applications would be helpful thanks

I like bell tech nitro active 2s. A little expensive but a great shock

Thanks back in 1993 i had cut springs & 3" blocks i was a bobble head. Shocks were not an option then.
