Eliminating the EGR?

Going to run a weber and pacesetter headers on my 86 Ram 50. I am also eliminating anything that doesnt need to be on that engine.

I want to know if I can remove my EGR valve? If so how do I properly go about doing it. What lines can be removed, do any passages need to join, etc.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

All you have to do is buy or make a block off plate for where the EGR bolts up, then remove or cap any lines or spots where the vacuum lines for the EGR went

If you're running a header you shouldn't even need a block off plate if it doesn't have the port in it. The Weber conversion kit I got came with a bolt that plugs up the EGR port in the exhaust but I'd think a header wouldn't even have that. Unless that port is lower down in the exhaust, I can't recall at this second. But either way they weber kit should have all you need to sort that out.
