Transmission/shifter

I just got my 83' running good but I noticed its really hard to find gears. Especially 1st to 2nd, I always hit reverse or 4th. While its going into gear it's really smooth as well as driving. The shift lever just seems sloppy like its in neutral when I'm in any gear. Also I know most vehicles you have to push down and over for reverse. Mine you don't have too. What is making this problem. you are missing the nylon bushing on the trans end of your shifter

Mine is getting sloppy too. Where can you get the bushing from?

I have one nylon bushing that snaps on the shifter. 1st come 1st served. I am parting out a 1983 with the 2.3L TD
