Is it possible to lower the 4X4 MM without Divine Intervention - or Eternal Damnation?

You can lower by putting blocks above the rear springs, with new U-bolts. The front is simply turning the torsion bars down.

A high school buddy did this one a 4x4 LUV in the 80s. He could scrape his way over speed bumps...

Still, begged the question: "Why?"

Why?
I'm not an off-roader and lifting hurts MPG.
These trucks are not only the best-looking minis, but they look even better lower. The 2WD height would be fine; lower would be better.
We get a fair amount of snow around here and I want to not have to install chains just to go skiing; I'm not a fan of studded tires and winter tires are just another expense I want to avoid.

Don't lower a 4x4... It's bad enough when people lift 2x4s but lowing a 4x4 is just a disgrace and makes four wheel drive pointless
