This is an easy one, but easiest with the springs removed from the truck. There is a center pin that holds the spring pack together. Remove the pin and separate the spring pack. Do as you will afterward, but get a new spring pin from the parts store before you reassemble the pack. Reinstall...good time to change the bushings, too.
