There was a drive belt wrenched in to a couple of the gears causing the crank not to move. Pulled it out and the pistons chug smooth as butter (manually with 19mm)
Amazing build up of carbon on top of pistons. That's it though, cylinder walls are smooth as a babies bottom.

So your balance shaft belt was broken and hanging up on stuff not allowing the motor to turn over? Glad you got it figured out
Yeah pretty much. Taking the head and valves in to be ground / resurfaced today then i'll work on putting it back together
Hate to say this may be a dead project for a few months
Just called the machine shop they said there was a crack in the head halfway through between 3 and 4. They said they may have a head they can sell me from an engine they just got in. Otherwise poop.
