i just did an engin swap on my 91mm, i used a motor out of a 92 mm, befor the swap the engine ran great but did sit for a 8 month period, after the install it was puffing whitish smoke of the bat w/ a oily drip out the exhaust, but it runs super smooth w tons of power, i really dont want it to be a blown head gasket, anything i can cancel before asuming a bad head??
to also add , i broke a sensor next to the throttle cable, it has a white plunger looking thing in it but replaced it, and also replaced the throttle position sensor, ,,could time plus those items being out of wack have a major effect on unburned fuel? causing the smoke
Unburned fuel is going to be black smoke. The oil dripping out of the exhaust is going to be valve seals. The "white" smoke you see is probably more of a blue. Plan on a valve job, rings, and connecting rod bearings, at minimum. For now, see my sig.
just an update that could help some viewers, after i did an engine swap due to a blown head and having a new motor just sitting there, i used the exhaust system off the blown motor, realizing it was full of water and antifreeze my truck smoked like a train for that reason , after about 20 min it was not smoking at all , truck runs smooth and has tons of stock power,, thanks for the tips and hope this helps
