valve knocking

I have a 90 Max and I re did my head. And after putting it back on I have a knocking noise, but running like a dime. tons of power timing is set, head was decked and cleaned and new guides and seals were put in!! I need help

Hi Clyde_80,
Could it be a lash adjuster making noise?
If not, try removing all drive belts and see if the noise is still present.
Next, use a stethoscope to determine where the noise is coming from.

This may not relate to your knocking issue, but I have had problems with my #3 cylinder chewing up rod bearings, but since you said you haven't lost any power from the knocking, this probably wouldn't be your issue. I put it out there just in case.

replaced lifters and i'm good to go. thanks for the info!!!
