i have a 1990 mighty max w/ the 2.4L engine the alternator crapped out on me and was wondering If there other alternator swaps out there that i can do since I heard parts for our cars are hard to find.

not hard to find, i just changed mine today, got it at advanced autoparts, some stores have in stock and some have to overnight it, cost $95 with core trade in.

i dont know about the 2.4 but i know on my g52b the gm alternator swap was very very easy...just some modified brackets and the gm clip wired on
