tail light filler question

im looking to shave my tail lights on my 95 Splash and came across these

now seeing that these are made of metal, will they work on my Splash bed since parts of the bed are fiberglass? just curious. thanks all!

heres a good write up from what most think is the "dark-side" great info tho for the splash bed taillight fillers:

just wrap ur stock tails in packaging tape and cover em in fiberglass and make fillers.

are you good at laying fiberglass? It would be a stronger shave job if you inset something to keep the glass from going through and just build up the thickness of the tail lights filers as you laid layers of glass to the bed.

ifu gel coat the fiberglass after it dries it will be plentystrong.
