Installing a Tailgate Skin

My friend wants to put a tailgate skin on his truck, but I have never done a tailgate skin. I have shaved my door handles, tailgate, and molded in a roll pan - so I do know how to do bodywork, and I am handy with a welder. So I was wondering how do I do this?

the way i have always have done it, is to get 1X1 Box tubing and put it across the top of the bed sides and another peice of 1x1 in the middle then, i would just hang the skin on the top bax, and just tack the skin allowing it to cool between each tack(which i'm sure you know) then do the same to the other peice and then if it was a cal combo i would just weld where the roll pan part is directly to the bed sides as long as it isnt a fiberglass bed, thats the best way to do it to my knowledge g'luck-alex
