I would install new lifters before I went to the time and expense of a complete valve train swap. To do it right, you really need to swap everything

Was it ticking before the cam grind/swap? Or did it have it when you got it?

it did have a slight tick before the rebuild I'd say it's no worse than before but was hoping that it was a bad lifter but they've all been replaced now wondering if it could be a ring moving on a piston?it has a hundred and seventy five psi on all cylinders. it also has a slight leak where the header meets the downpipe I'm going in Friday for a full custom exhaust system maybe that will quiet it down?

I installed a rotary motor, no valve tick since, but that is a little extreme.

Try this. Buy a bottle of Seafoam. Change the oil to Shell Rotella T 10w-40.Pour half the bottle of Seafoam in the oil,1/4 in the gas tank.Save the other 1/4. Drive the truck 500 miles, change the oil again and put the other 1/4 in the oil.Bet ur lifter ticking will stop.bj
