cracked intake

The intake that my carb sits on has ttnwo hairline cracks,one on each end right where it bolts to the head so is it possible that mabye thats where my vacuum leak might be. I have tried spraying starter spray around them but no rise or drop in idle.

It may not be cracked all the way through or it may be a "flashing" mark from th4e casting process.

I've never heard of an intake manifold cracking unless it's been over torqued when it was not flat against the head.

The transmission cooling line got behind it accidentally when putting the intake back on so its cracked in two places about 1"1/2 on each end.

Ouch, you mean the bypass coolant line? The trans cooler lines shouldn't be anywhere near the intake... I assume you are looking for a replacement. You should be able to find a used one in the bone yard.
