Project " Eternally Primed "

Ok everyone, this is my first project post. Ill start with a few details about the truck.

It's an 87 2200 extended cab. The rear has been notched and bridged. It has the factory 14" chromies. The truck has sat for 2 years without any kind of attention, so I guess my first goal is to get the mechanicals squared away being this will be my daily driver. Im going to start with the clutch (it was going out when parked) rear main seal, plugs & wires, slave & master cylinder. Then the coil, distributer cap and rotor button.

I purchased the truck for $550, so its not a bad start. It has roughly 260xxx on the odometer. Once I get a chance I will post up pics as soon as I can.

Ok, so I finally got the truck hauled to the shop. Hopefully with in the next week or so I can get the clutch in ( still gotta work, lol ). Then the oil change, etc.... Any ideas on what to do before the truck gets started? It has sat for 2 years without being cranked. Should I pour oil in the head first? I've always had them running.

Also, need brakes. Anyone know of any performance rotors, calipers, etc...?

Sorry guys, I know its been a few days since I've posted. So, got the truck to fire. I will try to post pics in the next few days or so. Me and my girl were involved in an accident, so I've got to get her car fixed before I focus on the truck.

curious, your name indicates that you have an 89b2200, yet this is an 87 your working on? is there a second truck from memory lane?
