Getting a free set of 17" Silverado rims. They have a nice set of 245-70-17" tires on them. Is there a chance the tires will fit on my stock height 89 Extra Cab? I know I will have to bore out the center holes. If these tires will not work at all, what is the preferred tire size for a DD?

not a chance that it will clear the front. most on here run 215/45r17's or similar.

Yea, Thought they would be way to tall. Think they will work on the back though?

I ran 235/75r15's 29" tall one winter when I was i college and didn't have any problems but that was before I lowered it.
