So after I finished the Weber install I discovered that the number 3 cylinder leaks oil. I'm assuming it's the valve seals. Is this hard to do? Can I get away with just doing that cylinder, or should I do all 4? How hard is it do, do I need to pull the head? Thanks for any Bell.

1. People have replaced valve stem seals without removing the cylinder head.

2. I'm not one of those people

3. They use either compressed air (fed in through spark plug hole at TDC) to keep the valves themselves in place. Others use narrow rope and jam it in there to keep stuff in place.

I would recommend also doing the rings on it though, the oil control ring has a habit of "not expanding" at about 150K miles of use and heat.

Yes, it's really easy on these motors and I have done it many many times. Almost every one can use it.

I use the compressed air. And the Lisle valve spring tool - look it up on youtube.
