hi everyone i failed smog in my 88 b2200 nox way too high i fixed timing, cleaned EGR (alot of carbon build-up), new cat, o2 sensor, and full tune up. it seems the EGR is not working. its not getting any vaccume to it i see the vaccume line going to a set of silonoids? what triggers them to send vaccume to EGR... ANY HELP WOULD ROCK thanx!
Did you test to see if the EGR will hold a vacuum? Use a hand held vacuum tester and a piece of tubing. It won't matter where it's hooked up or controlled if it won't hold a vacuum.
also, make sure you got all the carbon and that you get a good seal when the vacuum is applied.
