Alright so i bought this 89 b22oo and the damn thing has been problem after problem but i keep fixing it so one day it will be perfect ha. anyways I am going to buy this Re-ring gasket bearing kit
" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank
only problem is im not sure which size to get.

Bearings are available in Standard Size, oversize 0.25mm = 0.010", and 0.50mm = 0.020".

Piston Ring Set is available in Standard Size and Oversize 0.50mm = 0.020".

So my question is what is the standard crank size? and the connecting rod size also. If i find those i can figure out which ones i need. Or better yet what is the stand Rod Bearing size, then i can measure myne against those and see which ones i need. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Tom

you need to decide if you are going to have the crank turned.if you do the machine shop guy can tell you what size bearings you will need. the bearings are stamped on the back of them as to what size they are.

Crank is fine and so are the rods. Bearings just a little worn nothing that needs to be machined. There is no size stamped on them. That's why I was wondering what size is standard so I can measure myne against them.

well, if nothing has been done to the crank iwould say they would be standard.i took one of the rod bearings to a machine shop guy and he said he couldn't tell because he didn't know how bad worn they were.but i would say they are standard.as far as thickness i couldn't tell you.

I assumed standard on my 1988 at 183K miles, because I've had it since 1994. I only replaced my connecting rod bearings, left the mains as is.

Yes, I also did pistons, rings, and cylinder head.

But, to address your question of the size, see this page, lists the diameters and other specifications:

That is it thank you very much. This will help me get back on the road.

And I just got my head back from the shop, and gonna do pistons/rings too. Didn't touch my main either.

Ordered re-ring set Tuesday, showed up Wednesday at my house. Put engine back together yesterday and got everything done but the exhaust and radiator. Today put both those on, filled the fluids a turn of the key and it started right up. Damn thats a great feeling. Seems to be going strong. Thanks or the help
