OK here is my new to me 1987 B2000 SE5 ext cab with 156000 miles on the body. Was told the motor was rebuilt. Whenever I blow this motor up, i plan to drop a mildly built 302/t5 from one of my several mustang projects into her. Figure if i am gonna get 20 mpg anyways might as well have a little under the hood to boot.

Stopped in at a local custom audio shop and am looking to put tint on it for now. Am also looking to put a couple of speakers in to go with the ole school JVC head unit. was really thinking about triolling the junk yards for some better feeling seats for the truck. On a side note, does anybody have a source for making the ac 134? My 72 year old customizing buddy says he thinks the compressor is on its way out.....

Decided to install all my stereo stuff from my Mustang into the Mazda. I was inspired by a couple ofthe consol builds I read on here earlier. Will be adding Pioneer Head, Pioneer 6 1/2, 2 MTX Hammer seriers 10's, with a matching MTX amp. Will need to buy better dash speakers. Will be enlisting the help of the new audio shop here in Greer, SC. Should sound really good in this little truck

Spent the majority of this week figuring out why my charging system failed. Installed a new battery and alternator on tuesday. Brand new alt failed to charge and killed new batt by friday. was only putting out 10 volts. Got replacement today and all is good. Replaced plug wires this week complementing the new plugs from last week. Waiting on new cat gaskets to reinstall converter. Soon as drivability is under control i will begin to focus on the interior upgrades first....

I want to build a custom consol that will t behind the seats into two ten inch sub boxes with one or two amps between them. I would like to add a little southern touch by installing a cb radio, along with a hidden GPS set up that can flip closed. I want to add some more comfortable mazda seats from either a newer model sprts car or just an old set of protege seats. May incorporate a couple of key gauges in the consol such as oil pressure and tach. Have yet to decide if i will keep the nice brown interior or try and dye it all black. Will be tinting the windows. Once i make that decision then i will order new carpet for the little truck.
