I'm about to turn 200,000 on my '92 b2200. does anyone have any experience with replacing the stock carburetor with an aftermarket? I'd really like a set of Mikuni's with the proper manifold. Also i've heard that thre is a head off of a different make car/suv that will interchange with the stock head, and has double overhead cams. Is this true and are they available?

Yes, it's done all the time but I'd suggest trying to keep the stock set up, they are complicated but work very well. Rebuild kits are easily acquired for them as well.

I swapped to a Weber 32/36 DGEV only to find out they are finicky. they work great once you dial them in but they can be touchy.

I've also been using the Redline Weber 32/36 DGEV n my '88 B2200, since late 2005, runs well.

I think my install/set-up was more smooth than Dan's.

my weber runs perfect once I "tuned it in".
