Well.. i have gotten bored. and decided to paint them.. they are flat black.. i tend to like flat black instead of gloss black.. i put three coats on to make them dark. i snapped the photo while they where still wet. but i have tested them and i can still see blinking! lol

looks good. i've thought about doing this for a while. i'm super tired of having big ugly orange turn signals. what kind of paint did you use? was it that spray tint stuff or just normal flat black paint?

I used just reg flat black.. gotta be careful to much of it will completely black it out.. i have had good luck with krylon.... i have used it on my jetta to tint the tail lights.. still to this day same flat black and even when washing the lights no paint peels or chips...

candies work great. that's what the metalcast paint is that i use to red out tails.

niteshades is basically a candy.

If you guys cant get or done want niteshades, use Duplicolor Metalcase Black Chrome and some clearcoat.

Has anyone done body colored tails? Just a thought, use the same paint with less coats?
