hey man i hope things turn around for ya soon. i got the same situation (but i guess a bit better shape cause it's still full time), but i havent seen a raise in over 2 years, and make just enough to cover the bills... cant afford to quit, and need money to go to school to get something better... catch 22 every where ya look.

thats one thing a tenant should never do unless its in writing , witnessed , and notorized . Sounds to me you got screwed over by a landlord . Are you month to month? If so - i suggest you guys pack up and head east . ohio is cheap to live in - you could rent a whole house for about 500$a month . Never enter a agreement with a landlord to do repairs cause the only one truely benefitting is the owner ....esp on trade for rent .. Cause they actually determine the value of the work youve done and 9 times out of 10 they value it way below what you believe its worth ( usually just covers cost of materials) . THEN You have to have it documented and signed that x amount was credited to your rent and balance due of X___________ And you both get copies.. Its a big ball of wax to get into .

oh we havent made any repairs or anything yet. signed the lease in april, and ohio is way too far out there for us all to move to.
