when i thought things couldnt get worse...

this year has sucked. friends have died, girlfriend of almost 3 years is gone, lost my last apartment due to a sewage flood along with half the stuff i owned. been living out of a suitcase for the last several months. i've tried to keep positive, and i finally got a place to live after sometime, but this month has been seriously hard, not ish for hours at work, and the end of the month is 3 days away, rent is due on monday, and i know im going to be atleast 200 short, i dont have anything left i can try to pawn or even sell on craigslist to try to come up with the money.


any ideas...?

explain to the landlord your situation. its hard times out there right now,I'm sure they will know also. Ask them if they need any work done around their house or ask them if they have any other properties that need any work. Obviously your mechanically inclined ask them if they need anything worked on. keep your head up man. everything is gonna work out it always does right?> Be easy my friend

Got paypal dude? Some of us may be willing to give a little to help you out...at least once. Anything you can sell? Talk to the landlord like Dot said above for sure. Most should be willing to help you out since it is a bad economy and finding a good tenant is hard in these times.

i dont have a paypal, and due to a stolen truck, and stolen paypal debit card that i hadnt even activated 2 years ago i cant even use a paypal account. our landlord doesnt remember who we are any time we call her. she just runs prop management for some guy who probably is living the retired life overseas. i just put my softmodded wii, with usb hard drive an about 100 games up on craiglist (<--- my only form of entertainment aside from working on the truck, and since i dont have a garage anymore its now too cold to work outside for too long), also re listed the few parts i have for my truck, and i put the wrecked 1996 jetta that i bought last year (for those of you who remember it wasnt wrecked until the guy i was selling it to totaled it into a prius) up on CL as parting out or take the whole thing.

oh man, I am just coming out of that situation, I had to sell all of my furniture, yard implements, any and everything of value
I was trying to sell my house and nobody bought it, there was nobody in a position to buy.
I got a better job then refinanced my house and auto loan, but I was standing on the edge of the knife, almost lost the house and truck.
I am scraping by but at least I can catch up on the bills and credit cards now, and afford my medication again.

Landlord shouldn't put you out if you offer all but 200$ of the rent due - Explain your short but you get paid on such and such date and will pay a late fee. I deal with this type issue on a monthly basis with my boss's tenants . the economy is tough hours are cut at jobs , If you show you have atleast half or more of the rent that shows you have intent to pay your rent . Now if you just offer 100$ they will take it but will not work with you again most likely when your short . Landlords really want all the rent at once and not have to chase after tenants but they're rather get some of the rent money then non . Plus it costs them more money to file for pay and stay or evicition .. To which would be past on to you for fees in court - but if you show your willing to do things or pay the balance as soon as you get money they should work with you .

well this is a landlord who told us if we made improvements to the house, or any repairs to just provide time into project and receipts and we could have that taken off rent, and she's backed out of that agreement. she hasnt been the greatest rental management agent so far, and i'd rather not have any issues if i can help it.

on a side note my room mate's wife has a paypal account and she has no problem with me passing up that address cause we are all in this house together.

is the address she gave me for her paypal.
