please help (stolen truck) update 4/22/09

well, i went today to wheel and deal with the dually and they apparently didnt wanna sell it too bad cause they wouldnt come off the price any. I went to another dealership right up the road and wound up buying a 08 GMC Seirra 4x4 crewcab. black with light grey leather interior, all power options, sunroof, navagation, 22's with some decent mud tires....its a nice ass truck. they were askin $27K wound up getting it with extended warranty and gap insurance for a little over $23K out the door...pics to come tomorrow, i just got home and its dark out now

so any word on whether or not they ever found the guys and the truck?

nah, never found the truck, never caught the guys that stole it...insurance still hasnt payed it off like they said they were, so im still making payments on it...got one due in a few days

they canceled my rental so instead of paying $40 a day out of my pockets i just went and bought a new truck...cheaper on me to just make 2 truck payments right now

heres my new truck...08' SEIRRA 4x4..22" wheels/Nitto tires/leather/power everything/sunroof...pretty much anything you can get on a truck, it has it

friggin insurance companies glad you got a new ride man

now thats a nice ass truck.

UPDATE:

i recieved a certified letter today from greenville county sherrifs department. My truck is in their impound lot and i need to come pay storage fees to release it. the kicker !!! it was recovered Dec 23 !!!!! was stolen on the 14th and recovered on the 23 . . . they didnt have a ****ing clue they had my truck in their lot. i had a detective call me mid january fron there and questioning me about what all the insurance company has said about it and if i had anymore info to help them locate it.

what kind of shit is that?

anyways, storage is $30 a day x 90ish days . . . $2700 impound fees plus the $100 towing fee. guess they can settle this shit with statefarm, not my problem anymore

yea...direct em to your ins co man! Thats some straight BS right there. They couldve called you at least before you went out and bought a new truck. At least you got one badass new ride!

oh yeah, i love the new truck twice as much. whats messed up is i was still driving a rental when they found my truck and detectives calling every few days askin questions about it. i mean, how do you have a stolen truck in your posession and not know it? if the shoe was on the other foot and i had a stolen truck at my house, they'd be all over my ass for posession of stolen goods. Im sure they are supposed to run the VIN numbers when a vehicle arrives at the lot, i dont see how thay could have and it not throw up a flag as stolen
