Personally,I don't understand how so many of the shows let people get out of hand the way they do. The few shows we have here don't have ANY of that stupidity. They might have some whiny bitches, but none of the nonsense that is cancelling shows left right and centre in the US.

i agree 200% we need to show them that we will be respectfull to the scene. so we can have many more to come.

In my humble opinion alcohol is the main factor in all of the stupid crap that goes on at minitruck shows. The second factor is age/in-maturity. Lat night was a perfect example the guys who live a crossed my back fence had a Halloween party at 11 pm they were having a good time singing and playing horse shoes but drinking heavily by 1 am the fights started and by 1:30 am the police were there with guns drawn. The two main factors were again alcohol and the age and maturity levels of most of the folks at the party. I heard at least 4 fights and 3 or 4 cars leaving the area at high speed and I am sure all were drunk. Just add minitrucks and you have a modern day minitruck show. We should look at the show that are still running strong there are at least 5 or 6 hot rod shows just in my area every summer. What don

Well said Chris. For the sake of the hobby and the community,all the shows need to be zero tolerance. Shows,like driving,are priveledges. Abuse it,you lose it.

Most times when you lose something,such as your licence,it's your own fault.

I have not read the article....but again probably know what it is about. I can't believe the ITB is canceled. That is amazing. I am going to do everything possible to make MazdaFest more like the HotRod shows and family friendly events that I have gone to in the past. Was there drinking YES, was there stupidity NO. I mean max would be a 6 pack down and then time to crash in the tent or truck or sleeping bag...to poor for hotel room back then. I believe that the majority of ppl on here can sit/stand around and BS and drink with out getting out of control. To me nothing is better than an ice cold beer, camp fire, and friends. With just the possibility of stupid people showing up I almost want to hire my dad and some of his buddies to bounce the show. For those of you who don't know he is a kool ass police officer and about 6'2" 285lbs... So not too many ppl mess with him...especially when he is armed. Anyways I guess the bottom line is that MazdaFest is not going to be another idiot drunk fest or I will for sure forget about trecking the 2,500 + miles to attend. So for those of you planning on going and bringing friends make sure they are notified about the zero tolerance on idiototic people.

i read the article and he definitely hit it right on the nail. whats sad is the people who are doing all the destruction and stupid stuff probably arent even goin to read that or take a second to think about what will result out of their actions before they do anything. i got a couple new mini truckin dvds the other day and noticed they had a lot of stupid stuff in there and tend to sorta promote destruction and dangerous shenanigans. i think some of it comes from "joe minitrucker" sees that type of stuff there and wants to act "cool" in front of his minitrucker friends at the next show they go to.




that is so true but it sucks that there will always be people out there that cant compose themselves when dirnking and its too bad that its getting too risky to take the chance.
