Pie cutting upper control arms

I've been reading some threads and still trying to figure out what to do. By pie cutting my Upper control arms will it also lower the front end too? I understand it will take a lot of tension off my ball joints but just could find out if it will lower the truck too. All info will greatly appreciated.

Nope it doesn't lower it at all, it just takes the bind out of the ball joints.
