Yea everybody has there own opinion on them. From an engineering and handling aspect they suck. I ended up getting a silver star customs one for my ranger though a trade and figured I would try to get some first hand experiance with them. I think I've had it on the truck for a year now and honestly its not that bad, granted I do have bag on axle and not on the bars and who knows my u joints could go out tomorrow but it was purely for an experement any ways. I'm gona do a fwd triangulated 4 link regardless once the explorers done.

On paper a 2 link is a terrible design. In the real world it works ok. If you don't need 20" of lift or want to 3 wheel you shouldn't have any problems.
Set your pinion angle at ride height and it should still be acceptable at full lift and drop.
On my burb I used the front hangers and just moved them forward so I could run really long bars, around 58" I think, the longer the better.
I used 2 1/4 square tubing because that is what the original leaf springs are and I could just use the flip kit mounts. I then welded some pieces on the side for the u-bolts to run through and mounted the bag on the bar itself about 3/4 the way to the axle.
On a dually meant for towing I would run the bags over the axle. I would also try to just weld new perches on, but using a flip kit works also. It's pretty simple really?
Now on my dually I will be running a 3 or 4 link with a watts.(Just a little disclaimer).

If I do a 2 link should I weld the lower U bolt plates to the 2 link or?? Any good pics or suggestions??

I cut my u-bolt plates and welded them to the side, thought it looked cleaner.
